Bond Strength Properties of GFRP and CFRP according to Concrete Strength

چکیده

Reinforced concrete is the most commonly used material in construction industry. However, one disadvantage of reinforced that environmental factors cause materials to penetrate and steel bar corrosion. Rebar corrosion increases its volume significantly by approximately 3–6 times, which lowers concrete–rebar adhesion. This severely affects serviceability durability structures. The economic social impacts such deterioration are extremely large. To reduce corrosion, glass fiber-reinforced plastics (GFRP) carbon (CFRP) can be applied concrete. rebar–concrete bond strength an important factor considered while applying GFRP CFRP. Thus, we experimentally investigated adhesion CFRP relation water–cement ratio according ASTM C 234 correlate data for development as substitutes deformed reinforcing bars. results showed a lower yielded higher compressive strength; was 23% than coating rebar surface required application structures ought future.

Monotonic and Cyclic Bond Behavior of Deformed CFRP Bars in High Strength Concrete

Composite reinforcing bars (rebars) that are used in concrete members with high performance (strength and durability) properties could have beneficial effects on the behavior of these members. This is especially vital when a building is constructed in an aggressive environment, for instance a corrosive environment. Although tension capacity/weight (or volume) ratios in composite rebars (carbon ...

Residual Tensile Strength and Bond Properties of GFRP Bars after Exposure to Elevated Temperatures

The use of fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) bars in reinforced concrete members enhances corrosion resistance when compared to traditional steel reinforcing bars. Although there is ample research available on the behavior of FRP bars and concrete members reinforced with FRP bars under elevated temperatures (due to fire), there is little published information available on their post-fire residual ...

Bond of High Strength Concrete with High Strength Reinforcing Steel

This paper presents a study about the bond of high strength concrete with high strength steel. Fourteen pull out tests were carried out to determine the bond. The concrete strength was about 70 MPa and the steel was a 500 MPa grade. Bar diameters used were 12, 16, 20, 25, 28, 32 and 36 mm. In order to investigate the effect of cover, each test was done twice, once in a 240 mm diameter concrete ...

Bond of Reinforcement in High-Strength Concrete

This paper describes an examination of the development of tension lap splices in high-strength concrete and the applicability of the restriction in the ACI 318 code where the values of √fc′ used to calculate development length shall not exceed 100 psi. The focus is on the development of splices with Grade 60 epoxy-coated and uncoated bars in normalweight concrete. A summary of the behavior of b...
